Where to start
New to BTS? No worries if you're still mixing up names, not sure what half the abbreviations mean, or wondering which album to start with. Thirteen years of music, performances, shows, and more sounds like a lot, but it clicks into place fast. Here's one simple way in.
- 1
Start with the music
Pick a few songs that first caught your ear, then branch out from there. BTS has changed sound so many times over the years that Dynamite, Black Swan, Spring Day, and No More Dream can feel like four completely different doors into their music. Once you find a song that really clicks, listen to the album it's on in the Discography. That's a natural way to start discovering songs you might never have found among just the biggest hits.

Get to know BTS
RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. At first it might take a second to match a name to a face, but after a few videos and performances it usually comes naturally. In Who's who you can meet each member, learn a bit about their path to BTS, their role in the group, and the music they make on their own.
- 3
Watch them mess around
Music is only one part of BTS. Run BTS!, Bangtan Bombs, interviews, travel logs, and behind-the-scenes footage show a completely different side of the seven of them. That's where you'll see their humor, the way they tease each other, and a dynamic you don't always get to see on stage, all in the Videosection. Before long, names and faces won't be something you have to think about at all.

Pick up the story along the way
HYYH, FESTA, Bon Voyage, ARMY Bomb, borahae, BT21... BTS has thirteen years of history behind them and quite the vocabulary of their own. You'll run into some of it through the music, some in old videos, and some because ARMY uses it like it's obvious what it means. Whenever you hit something unfamiliar, look it up in BTS Through Time. After a while, it all starts connecting.

The solo music is worth a look too
Solo projects aren't just a bonus to the BTS discography. Through them, each member shows their own musical taste and the direction they want to experiment in much more clearly. Among their solo releasesyou'll find rap, pop, R&B, alternative sounds, ballads, and a lot more. If something catches your ear, follow it and see where it takes you.

Get to know the ARMY world
A whole little world of fan customs and terms has grown up around BTS over the years. There are fan chants at concerts, FESTA, Weverse, ARMY Bomb, birthday projects, memes, and jokes almost as old as the group itself. Most of it becomes clear just through the music, videos, and following BTS, and for the rest you can always check our ARMY guide.
