Arirang

After every member had completed his military service, BTS returned whole, and surer of themselves than before. Their fifth studio album, Arirang, released in March 2026, opened a new chapter, one of reunion and of returning to their roots.

The album's title is no accident. Arirang is Korea's best-known folk song, the unofficial anthem of the Korean people, a piece that has carried, for centuries, a feeling of longing, togetherness, and belonging. By choosing this very title, BTS bound themselves firmly to their Korean identity and origins, declaring that however global they had become, they remained deeply themselves.
