Jin and Jungkook: some things never change

Jin shared new photos from the ARIRANG tour on his Instagram, and among them are some especially sweet ones with Jungkook. Relaxed backstage, smiling and in a playful mood, they look exactly like the Jin and Jungkook ARMY has known for years now.

Their dynamic is one of the most entertaining in BTS. Even though Jin is the oldest and Jungkook the youngest member of the group, that gap between them rarely shows. From BTS's earliest years to today, their teasing, shoving, and competing over completely pointless things have become part of a relationship ARMY knows well.

Behind all of it, there's clearly a lot of closeness too. Jin acknowledged as much in his own way last year during Vanity Fair's lie detector interview. When asked which of the members still serving in the military at the time he missed most, he first said he missed all of them. But when pressed for one name, he answered: "Jungkookie."

And he was telling the truth.

After a stretch when the members couldn't perform or travel together for a long time, we're now watching them back on tour, backstage and in all those little moments between shows.

And Jin and Jungkook are once again exactly as we remember them. Relaxed, playful, and always ready to tease each other. That dynamic regularly spills onto the stage too, where during the ARIRANG tour they splash each other with water, chase each other around, and try to catch each other off guard mid-performance.
