BTS Wrap Up the North American Leg of the Tour in Los Angeles

After four sold-out nights at SoFi Stadium, BTS played the final show of the North American leg of the ARIRANG tour on September 6. It was also their first time performing in Los Angeles since 2021, so the city got special treatment: four shows, as many as Las Vegas, more than any other city on this leg of the tour.

One moment from the last night got more attention than anything else. Jungkook performed in an unbuttoned denim jacket with nothing underneath, and partway through the show j-hope jokingly tugged at his sleeve and revealed even more, his abs and the tattoos on his arm and chest. The stadium went wild, Jungkook's name shot to the top of trending topics online, and Justin Bieber later reposted the clip.

For the night's final surprises, the group performed Whalien 52 from 2015 and Spring Day from 2017, two songs that are fan favorites. During his farewell speech, Jungkook held up a series of handwritten signs, playing on the well-known cue-card scene from the movie Love Actually, thanking fans and promising they'd be back. All four shows shared the same backbone, songs from the new album and solo segments from all seven members, but the surprises changed from night to night, so anyone who came more than once heard something different each time.

Beyond the music, a few side moments also defined the stay in Los Angeles. Jungkook celebrated his birthday on the first night, j-hope revealed a new tattoo dedicated to fans during the week, and Jin went fishing, a trip that ended up on Jimin's plate.

The city marked their return officially too. The mayor of Los Angeles and BigHit declared September 1 to 8 BTS Week, and on the day of the first show, City Hall lit up red, the color of the ARIRANG album.

The numbers show the scale of the tour. Over 282,000 people attended the Los Angeles shows. Across these eight shows at SoFi Stadium, including the 2021 run, BTS has drawn nearly half a million attendees there, more than any act since the stadium opened. The North American leg totaled 31 sold-out shows across twelve cities and around 1.9 million attendees, making ARIRANG the most profitable tour of the group's career.

Now they get a month off, since the tour doesn't resume until early October, with shows in Lima, Peru. Asia follows Latin America in November, and 2027 dates have been announced for Australia, Hong Kong, Manila, and Japan. There are no new European dates yet, but fans there are hoping they'll be among the first to hear about any additional shows.
