What ARMY Membership is, and why it's worth it

If you follow BTS even somewhat seriously, sooner or later you'll run into the term ARMY Membership. It's the official fan club membership, and for a lot of fans it isn't just a formality, it's a practical tool that makes life a lot easier, especially when it comes to concert tickets.

ARMY Membership is the official global membership, renewed periodically, and it opens the door to a range of perks not available to a regular follower. The most valuable of them, especially during tours, is early ticket access. Members are usually entitled to what's called presale, ticket sales before they go on general sale, which in a world where concerts sell out in hours can be the deciding difference between actually going to a concert and watching it online instead.

Alongside early ticket access, membership usually also brings exclusive content, membership packages with gifts, access to special posts, and other perks tied to the group's official platforms. For fans planning to travel to concerts, or who want to stay in the loop on everything firsthand, it's often a worthwhile investment.

A few practical things are worth knowing too. Membership is registered through the official Weverse platform, run by HYBE, and is tied to your user account. For tours, presale terms can vary from country to country, so it's always smart to check the exact rules for a specific city and date in advance. Membership also doesn't guarantee a ticket, only earlier access, since demand still far outstrips the number of seats.

For fans in our region, who have to travel to the nearest European dates anyway, ARMY Membership can be the difference between a successful and a missed purchase. If you're seriously considering going to a concert, it's worth looking into membership before the next wave of ticket sales.

How to sign up, step by step. First you need a Weverse account, the free app and platform run by HYBE, available both on mobile and through a browser. Once you create and confirm your Weverse account, log in and join the BTS community inside the app. From there, open Weverse Shop, which is tied to the same account, and find the membership section. There you choose your membership type and pay by card or with Weverse Jelly points. After purchase, your digital membership card shows up immediately inside the app, and you'll usually get a confirmation email within about ten minutes.

Two things are essential for the membership to actually work for you. First, you need to use the same account, meaning the same email, for both Weverse and Weverse Shop, otherwise you won't get the perks. Second, choose the correct membership region, since it determines which presales you can take part in. For concerts in Europe you need what's called Global membership, while separate American and Japanese memberships apply to shows in those regions. For those of us in the region, that means Global membership is the right choice, since it covers the European dates closest to us.

A few more useful details. Membership is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase, after which it renews. Enter your details carefully and accurately when signing up, since they can't be changed later and need to match the identity you'll use when buying a ticket. And most important for concerts, membership alone isn't enough, you need to separately register for presale for each tour within the given window, announced ahead of the sale. So keep an eye on official announcements, since presale registration is time-limited, and missing the deadline means losing early access.

Note: membership terms, prices, and presales change, so always check current information on Weverse and official channels before buying.
