Run BTS! 2.0 Returns With Two New Episodes This October

The Toronto theories were right! The photos that sparked suspicion a few days ago that BTS was filming Run BTS! 2.0 again really were hiding something. BANGTANTV has released the official “BTS in Toronto” preview today, revealing that two new episodes are coming, with the first one landing on October 6.

The preview only runs 51 seconds, but that's plenty to see what kind of content they've prepared. RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook start out outdoors, with games that recall their old picnics and Run BTS! outings. There's speed walking, “Red Light, Green Light,” and tasks that quickly wake up their well-known competitive streak.

The second part takes them to a sports hall for pickleball. The game looks a bit like tennis, but it's played on a smaller court with solid, stringless paddles. The teaser already shows a few misses, some falls, and plenty of laughing. In short, pickleball in their hands looks about how you'd expect.

It's especially fun that we got the first clues before the official announcement. BTS posted photos from Toronto on Instagram, and the microphones and production gear visible in the shots immediately caught people's attention. ARMY started connecting the dots, and a theory emerged that they'd filmed a new Run BTS! during the tour. We already wrote about those photos and theories, and now we finally have confirmation of what was actually going on there.

The filming fit in between their commitments on the BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG.' BTS performed at Rogers Stadium in Toronto on August 22 and 23, and they clearly set aside some of their time in the city for two new episodes as well.

Toronto isn't a random choice for Run BTS! fans, either. Back in 2019, we got episodes 69, 70, and 71 under the shared title “BTS in Toronto.” The members visited Niagara Falls back then, took on hidden missions, went shopping, and spent time together at a house by the lake. Seven years later, they're back in Toronto, playing games again, with cameras once again capturing it all.

Run BTS! 2.0 began this past April, after a years-long break from the original show. The first three episodes, BTS's TRIP, brought a trip shared by all seven members. After that, there was no word on when the follow-up would arrive, until the Toronto photos raised suspicions that something was in the works.

Now we have the exact dates too. The first “BTS in Toronto” episode airs October 6 at 8 PM KST, and the second on October 11 at the same time, which works out to around 1 PM CEST both days for viewers in Central Europe.

After a shared trip in BTS's TRIP, we're back to classic games and competition. If the teaser is anything to go by, a good Run BTS! episode still just needs all seven of them together, a handful of seemingly simple games, and letting them complicate everything themselves from there.
