Next Stop Bogotá: BTS Heads to South America

Bags are packed again and the ARIRANG tour rolls on. Jin, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook showed up at Incheon Airport this morning and headed for Atlanta, then on to South America. Shows in Bogotá already await them on October 2 and 3.

An airport departure alone would hardly count as big BTS news, but Jin made sure this one was a little more interesting.

He showed up for the trip in a t-shirt with a huge photo of Jungkook on it. Jungkook spotted it right away, laughed, and gave Jin a deep bow, and the whole scene predictably ended up on social media in no time.

Naturally, the theories started soon after. One popular one says the t-shirt could be a punishment from some new “Run BTS!” content.

There's no confirmation of that for now, but there's already been speculation the past few days that BTS is filming something again. In recently released official content, fans spotted members wearing mics and small cameras, which was enough to get people talking about a possible “Run BTS!” comeback again. BIGHIT hasn't announced any new episodes yet, so both theories remain just that, nice theories.

Or maybe there's no special story behind any of it, and Jin simply decided to travel in a t-shirt with Jungkook's photo on it. Knowing his sense of humor, that explanation wouldn't be unexpected either.

Today's airport footage doesn't show all seven members, since RM and SUGA left earlier. RM flew to San Francisco on September 28 for the unveiling of the “RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me” exhibition, while SUGA headed to the US a day later to continue the tour.

So the whole group is reuniting in Bogotá, with almost a full month in South America ahead of them. After Colombia come Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo.

The first show is already just two days away, and the story of Jin's t-shirt might end right here. If it does turn out to be connected to some future BTS content, we'll obviously find out a little later.
