ARIRANG IN EUROPE Sketch: BTS Takes Us Back to the Summer of the European Tour

Ever since the European leg ended in Paris in July, ARMY has been waiting for exactly this kind of behind-the-scenes look at the tour. Today we have it: BANGTANTV has released the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN EUROPE Sketch, which takes us back to Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich, and Paris.

We already got to know the shows well through footage from the stage and the crowd, but now, for the first time, we get the entire European leg from BTS's own perspective. There are rehearsals, preparations, the moments right before stepping on stage, conversations after the shows, and everything that happened in between.

There's no shortage of their usual chaos, either. Jin often ends up the target of the others, Jung Kook and V happily take the chance to tease him, and there's laughter almost anywhere the members get together. We won't give away too much, since scenes like that are far more fun to watch in the video itself.

The sketch isn't only behind-the-stage fun, though. We also see how seriously they approach every performance. After the shows they talk about what they could improve, go over certain parts, and prepare for the next night. The audience sees the finished concert, while the Europe Sketch shows how much work stays hidden behind it.

The Europe Sketch also pays a lot of attention to European ARMY. Packed stadiums, banners, fan projects, a sea of ARMY Bombs, and a crowd singing along with them take us back to a summer that passed so quickly. In Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich, and Paris, BTS played ten shows for a total of around 717,000 people.

Every city had its own atmosphere, and throughout the whole European leg the members seemed like they were genuinely enjoying themselves. That's perhaps best seen backstage, when there are no big effects or choreography, and all that's left is them, the crew around them, and the atmosphere before and after the shows.

The last stop was Paris. The shows at the Stade de France closed the European leg of the ARIRANG tour, with around 92,000 people at each one. It was also a return to the stadium where they ended the European leg of the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in 2019.

The most emotional part of the sketch is in Paris. At the end of the final show, Jung Kook couldn't hold back his tears, and after the European leg wrapped up, the members talked about how happy they'd been over those few weeks and how touched they were by the crowd that welcomed them in every city. After all the backstage jokes, the preparation, and ten full stadiums, it's clear how much the European leg meant to them too.

The ARIRANG tour continues into 2027, and the official tour site still says “More to come” alongside the dates already announced. So we can hope this wasn't the last European leg. It would be nice to see a new European city or two, but we won't complain if they return to Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich, and Paris again.
